The development of my painting is what feels right for me at the time. My style has been influenced by my many teachers, books I have read and Masters’ works I have analyzed.

For inspiration I use my camera to photograph the countryside and towns and villages, part of my year is spent by the North Norfolk Coast, England

I feel as we live in a world of colour my wish is to reproduce it.

This has been a constant evolution for me. Therefore I am experimenting all the time with various media, trying to keep the work fresh and not staid. I travel a lot with my family business, and have the opportunity to meet with and view artists from around the world. And perhaps, getting ideas and more inspiration at the same time.

I have been a member of various art groups in the region including The Colorworks Group”, an original member of “Artists’ Network” (Bedfordshire). I was a founder member of Courtyard Studios, Ampthill (in fact it was me that thought up the name) and have exhibited and sold work throughout the Country, and Abroad including USA, France & Australia.

In 2005 and as a founder member I joined Eagle Gallery Artists, Castle Road, Bedford, which is an Artists’ Cooperative.

I have studied Art & Crafts all my life, in the last few years Fine Art has become the most important pursuit. One is always reminded that: “The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.”

I have visited with my camera and my paints: Venice, Tuscany, Italy, Belgium, France, Australia, Canada, and Arizona, Provincetown, Near Boston, New Mexico, California, USA and Great Britain of course.
